Kindergarten Registration begins 3/22/12

Kindergarten and First Grade Registration for the 2012-2013 will take place on Thursday, March 22, 2012, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon, in the District Office Boardroom. If you are unable to register on this date, there will be future registration dates for all grades on: Thursday, April 26, 2012, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, Thursday, May 24, 2012, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 noon, Thursday, June 28, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, and Thursday, July 19, 2012, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM, all in the District Office Boardroom.

Status of Transitional Kindergarten (TK) for 2012-2013

The recent release of the Governor’s proposed budget for the 2012-2013 school year eliminates the funding of the newly implemented Transitional Kindergarten (TK) program. Given this budget uncertainty, the San Marino Unified School District’s TK Program will not be implemented unless the funding for the TK program is included in the final adopted State budget. As a result, the District will not be conducting registration for the TK program at this time.

If you were planning on enrolling your student into the TK program, please be aware of the uncertainty around this program as you consider options for the 2012-2013 school year.
