Mr. Chris Norgaard
Chris Norgaard was elected to the School Board in November 2003 and reelected in November 2007. He has served as President of the Board and as Clerk. He is the Board Chair for legislative action and is a Board representative on the Academics Advisory Council, the Athletics Advisory Committee, the Joint Community Center Steering Committee and the new Committee for optimization of the Stoneman School site. He is also Board representative to the Los Angeles County School Trustees Association, and has been the Board representative on the Media Arts Committee.
Chris is a longtime trustee and associate trustee, and former President, of the San Marino Schools Foundation. He served as a member of the School District’s budget advisory committee before being elected to the Board. He is a member of the San Marino City Club and formerly served as a member of its Board of Governors. He is also a member of the San Marino Rotary Club and serves as its Co-chair of Programs.
Chris is a 28 year resident of San Marino, and his family has been involved in a wide range of civic activities. A graduate of Stanford University and the Georgetown University Law Center, Chris is a lawyer in downtown Los Angeles, and has been widely quoted and published on intellectual property law and other subjects. He has also authored an upcoming book.
